Good Reviews on The Vow Movie

By Adam Servin

Reassessing The Vow Movie

Theoretically speaking, if you were to wake up from a coma, and forget all of the things in the past 4 years of your life, which includes the very person you got married with, then it would truly be a scary and bewildering torment. If you are now wondering if the storyline can actually produce a great movie, then read on.

The Vow is released to the public so close to Valentine's day for a reason. The film depicts an epic kind of love story that a lot of people, during this time of the year, get carried away. The plot of the movie goes like this: a man attempts to make his wife fall in love with him all over again after a horrible accident puts her wife in a coma, and waking up only to realize that her memory of the last four years, or of him, has been entirely banished. Channing Tatum played his role perfectly as Leo, and even though he has great chemistry with Rachel McAdam's character Paige, it almost went to waste because of the film's insufficient focus and jagged plot.

To begin with, having a husband who is a stranger to you is just the start of Paige's dilemmas. During the span of four years that she had forgotten, she went from being a nice law student to becoming a spontaneous artist. Paige will of course, upon waking up, ask certain questions about the reasons why she and her family are not on speaking terms, what had happened to her fianc (Scott Speedman), and why her hair is just so weird-looking. It is just logical that she is a bit diverse from who she used to be. Nevertheless, an entire life alteration is hard to imagine, both for Paige and for the viewers.

Seeing Tatum and McAdams on the screen is what makes the movie exciting. When Paige tries to go back to the life that she actually remembers, people can sympathize well with Leo as they see him suffer quietly, despite the fact that it was Paige who is dealing with a bigger problem. Leo offers Paige a life that she possibly wants, but she cannot grasp the whole idea in her head. Then, as Paige realizes that a life like that can never be understandable that she decided to slip back to her former self.

The Vow is definitely fun to watch. This is simply because the audience will be highly intrigued as to how Leo and Paige will find their way back into each other's arms. Therefore, indulge in this movie and experience love at its finest.
